BOX SCORE Loretto, Pa – The Saint Francis lacrosse team (4-9, 0-3 NEC) could not capitalize on their early three goal advantage as they fell to Robert Morris (6-7, 2-1 NEC) 18-12 on Friday, despite a five goal performance from freshman Emileigh Scott (Ellicott City, Md./Howard).
Turning Point
The Red Flash had an early 4-1 advantage in the first half, but the Colonial's responded by outscoring the Red Flash 8-1, taking a 9-5 lead with 4:45 remaining in the first half. Saint Francis's three unanswered goals scored by Jessica Mazzur (Dallastown, Pa./York Catholic) (35), Morgan Day (New Park, Pa./Kennard Dale) (12), and Emileigh Scott (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) (22) brought the Red Flash within one goal going into halftime. After halftime, the Colonial's went on a 4-0 scoring run extending the once 9-8 lead, to a 13-8 advantage over the Red Flash. Sarah Mahon (Malverne, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial) made it a 13-9 game with 17:23 remaining, but the Red Flash were never able to get closer than four goals.

Freshman Emileigh Scott (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) finished with a career-high five goals, added an assist, and also won 10 draw controls for the Red Flash.

Senior Jessica Mazzur (Dallastown, Pa./York Catholic) recorded her seventh hat-trick of the season. She also recorded an assist, four ground balls, and two caused turnovers.
