WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – The Saint Francis Men's Tennis team fell 4-3 in a tight match in the NEC Semifinals against No. 2 seed Wagner on Saturday. The Red Flash dropped the doubles point, but won three singles matches. However, the Seahawks came out on top in two three-set matches. The Red Flash ended the season with an 8-13 record, while Wagner improved to 14-8.

Senior
Alec Dylan Foo-Kune (Phoenix, Mauritius/International Connections Academy (Md.)) and junior
Jan Vit Suntar (Cerklje na Gorenjskem, Slovenia/Gimnazija Kranj) competed at the top doubles spot against the Seahawks' Anatoliy Lashkul and Dale Sandy. The Red Flash duo fell 6-2.

At No. 2, sophomore
Franz Luna (Guatemala City, Guatemala/Laurel Springs) and freshman
Sebastian Pinos (Quito, Ecuador/Compuinformatica) battled Wagner's Eric Poland and Dylan Walters. However, the SFU pair dropped a 6-1 decision to finish the Spring with a 12-9 mark.

Sophomore
Eduardo Garcia (Toluca, Mexico/Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Mexico) and freshman
Charles Morkel (Cape Town, South Africa/Paul Roos Gymnasium) paired up at No. 3 against WC's Charlton Boyd and Ilya Kneppelhout. The SFU duo was trailing 4-3 when the match was stopped.

Morkel took on Wagner's Hans Ohrner at No. 3 singles. The Red Flash rookie claimed the first set, 6-1. He completed a straight-set victory with a 6-3 second set. Morkel finished the Spring with a 7-6 record.

Pinos battled the Seahawks' Poland at No. 4. The SFU freshman took the opening set, 6-1. Pinos won the next set, 6-2, to end the season with a 10-10 dual match record.

At No. 6, Suntar faced WC's Sandy. After falling 6-2 in the first set, Suntar responded by winning the second set, 6-3. In the deciding set, Suntar came out on top, 6-3. He moved to 5-4 this Spring.

In the match at No. 1, Luna met the Seahawks' Walters. The SFU sophomore won the first set, 6-1, but dropped the second set, 6-2. In the final set, Luna fell 6-3. Luna finished the season with an 11-10 dual match mark.

Foo-Kune took on Wagner's Lashkul at No. 2. The SFU senior dropped a tough opening set, 7-6, including a 7-4 tiebreaker. Foo-Kune bounced back for a 6-4 win in the second set. However, Foo-Kune fell 6-3 in the final set. He concluded the Spring with a team-best 13 wins.

Garcia met Wagner's Boyd at No. 5. However, the Red Flash sophomore fell 6-1, 6-0.
