BOX SCORE Smithfield, RI – The first-place Bryant Bulldogs used a quick start to put away the Saint Francis lacrosse team (5-10, 1-4 NEC) 21-6 on Sunday afternoon. The Red Flash received two goals and an assist from senior Jessica Mazzur (Dallastown, Pa./York Catholic).
Turning Point
The Bulldogs scored 12 straight goals before the Red Flash put a tally on the board. Senior Jessica Mazzur (Dallastown, Pa./York Catholic) and freshman Emileigh Scott (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) scored back-to-back goals for Saint Francis, but Bryant quickly responded with a goal of their own and took a 13-2 lead into the half. In the second half, Saint Francis was outscored by Bryant 8-4.
