2018 Fall Schedule
Head field hockey coach Betta Ceretta released her team's 2018 Fall Schedule on Wednesday.
Featured in the 19-game slate are non-conference games against Ball State, Miami of Ohio, Georgetown, Sacred Heart, Central Michigan, Indiana, Appalachian State, James Madison and Temple.
Saint Francis plays four common opponents from 2017 in Ball State, Sacred Heart, Central Michigan and Kent State. The Red Flash went 1-3 against the quartet last season, defeating Central Michigan 4-0.
SFU opens the season on Aug. 24 in a neutral site game against Ball State at Miami of Ohio before taking on the Red Hawks the following fday.
Saint Francis then heads to Georgetown for games against the Hoyas on Sep. 2 and Sacred Heart on Sep. 3.
After away games at Central Michigan on Sep. 7 and Indiana on Sep. 9, Saint Francis plays its first of four home games when it opens conference play vs. LaSalle on Sep. 14.
Sprinkled in with the conference schedule are non-conference games at Appalachian State on Oct. 5, James Madison on Oct. 16 and Temple to end the season on Oct.28.
SFU's senior day will be on Oct. 26 when it hosts Richmond in its final league game.
The Red Flash went 8-9 overall and 4-4 in A-10 play in Ceretta's first full season at the helm.
Saint Francis returns leading scorers and all-conference selections, Brianna Govia (St. James, Trinidad/Holy Name) and Brea Seabrook (Wilkes Barre, Pa./GAR Memorial).
