Loretto, Pa –The Saint Francis women's lacrosse team (0-1) looks to pick up its first win of the season on the road against Lehigh on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 1 p.m. Last time out, the Red Flash had its home opener canceled due to inclement weather and unsafe field conditions.
Scouting Lehigh
The Mountain Hawks went 13-6 in 2018 and started its 2019 campaign 0-2 with losses to Liberty and #10 Penn State. Lehigh is led by Sondra Dickey and Hannah Cermack. Together the duo has tallied 10 points on six goals and four assists. Defensively, they have combined for seven caused turnovers and eight groundballs. Olivia Kelly is another capable defender for Lehigh, she has caused four turnovers and gathered four ground balls. Sophomore goalkeeper Samantha Sagi saved 33 of the 77 shots she faced this season posting a .524 save percentage

Morgan Day (New Park, Pa./Kennard Dale) tallied seven goals against Radford in Saturday's loss earning her player of the week honors. Her seven-goal effort tied her career-high for a single game which she set vs. CCSU at the end of last season. The seven goals are tied-for-the second most in a single game in program history, two behind the record of nine set by Danielle Conwell.
Catherine Russo (Wantagh, N.Y./Wantagh) tallied two goals in the loss and joins Day as the other Red Flash member to record a multi-goal game. Day and Russo lead the Red Flash in scoring and look to keep the momentum going for the home opener on Wednesday.

C.C. Courter (Verona, N.J./Verona) also played well on the defensive end collecting five ground balls and causing two turnovers. In net,
Ashley Stoessel (Smithtown, N.Y./Smithtown East) made 17 saves in her 55 minutes of action while
Elyssa Enrique (North Canton, Ohio/Hoover) closed out the final five minutes saving three of the four shots she faced.
