GILBERT, ARIZ.- Saint Francis field hockey is one of 76 teams to have earned the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) team academic award for the 2018 season.
The award, presented annually, rewards teams that earned a 3.0 grade-point average or higher for the fall in-season semester. The Red Flash posted a team GPA of 3.249 in the fall semester including 16 players earning at least a 3.0. Nine players had a 3.5 or higher, led by marketing major
Celeste Azzari (Woolwich Twp., N.J./Kingsway Regional), who had a perfect 4.0.
Saint Francis has earned the NFHCA team academic award every season since 2007 including finishing in the top-5 in the NCAA in 2011 and 2012.
