Red Flash host Duquesne in mid-week match up

Loretto, Pa – The Saint Francis women's lacrosse team (1-2) come into Wednesday's contest off a high note from a 12 to 6 win over Akron University over the weekend. The team looks to utilize their high scoring momentum as they host the Dukes (1-2) Wednesday, February 26 at 2 p.m.
 
SCOUTING DUQUESNE
The Dukes are averaging just above eight goals per game and are led by senior midfielder Maddie Hart. Hart has been dominant in the attack as well as defensively for the Dukes logging seven goals, 15 won draw controls, 11 ground balls, and 10 caused turnovers in just three matches. Veteran senior goalkeeper Maddy Curtis currently sits with a 14.55 goals allowed average and a 0.344 save percentage. She is also currently in the record books for career saves and career wins.
 
FAST FLASH
The Red Flash are getting used to finding the back of the net, within the first two minutes against Akron, junior Amanda Heidt (Erie, Pa./Villa Maria Academy) struck first. After just three games five Red Flash have three or more goals which are led by junior captain Emileigh Scott (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) (8), followed by junior Amanda Heidt (Erie, Pa./Villa Maria Academy) (7), senior captain Livia Baker (Fallston, Md./Fallston High School) (5), sophomore Autumn McHenry (Branford, Conn./Branford) (3), and redshirt senior Morgan Day (New Park, Pa./Kennard Dale) (3). Scott's eighth goal has her climbing the record books one spot placing her 7th in all-time career goals, Day also continues the climb and moves up one spot to 9th.
 
STRONG DEFENSE
Senior captain Peyton LeConte (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron) has led the way defensively for the Red Flash logging 10 collected groundballs and has contributed eight caused turnovers. LeConte is accompanied by fellow captain Emileigh Scott (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) who leads in won drawn controls (22). Sophomore goalkeeper Elyssa Enrique (North Canton, Ohio/Hoover) has shown dominance in the cage logging 24 saves with a .490 save percentage.
