Kent, Ohio – The Saint Francis women's lacrosse team (2-4) continues their March road trip to Kent State University to take on the Golden Flashes (0-5) who enter their second year as a program.

The Golden Flashes are searching for their first win of the 2020 season coming into Tuesday's contest. The team is currently led in the attack by sophomore Abby Jones who has recorded 13 goals and six assists on the season with a .667 shots on goal percentage and has won 22 draw controls. Overall the team averages just above 22 shots per game and has taken advantage of a free position attempt successfully twice.

The Red Flash hosted the Golden Flashes in their inaugural season and finished with excellent results, coming away with a victory of 13-9. The Red Flash attack was led by now junior
Emileigh Scott (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) and senior
Livia Baker (Fallston, Md./Fallston High School) who each ended the day with three goals apiece. Saint Francis dominated in shots taken with a 34-20 comparison. The Red Flash also controlled defensively by going 16-6 in won draw controls and 31-22 in collected ground balls.
Climbing the Record Books
Scott continues to make her climb up the Saint Francis Record books and intends to leave her mark for quite some time. With the victory over Howard University, Scott has logged 20 goals on the season placing her 6
th in all time goals scored, and is well on pace to break her previous record of goals scored in a season (44) which currently puts her tied at 4
th all time. Scott has also entered the records for career points (106) placing her in 8
th with the remainder of this season as well as a senior season left to compete. Scott also continues to add to her already top spot in career draw controls at 276. Redshirt senior
Morgan Day (New Park, Pa./Kennard Dale) is right behind Scott in career goals and currently has 74 career goals putting her in the 8
th spot.
