The Red Flash cross country team competed in the Aubrey Shenk Cross County Invitational.
In the women's 6k, the Flash finished first behind a first place finish from Mackenzie Walker (Indiana, Pa./Marion Center) (1st place, 23:38.0). She was followed by Tesslyn Helms (Pittsburgh, Pa./Oakland Catholic) (4th place, 24:02.0), Monica Gregg (Henrietta, N.Y./Rush Henrietta) (5th place, 24:05.7), Naomi Hillen (Pottstown, Pa./Pottsgrove) (8th place, 24:17.5), and Alyssa Deschler (Allentown, Pa./Allentown Central Catholic) (9th place, 24:19.1).
The men's cross country team finished their 8k race with a 4th place finish overall led by sophomore Zachary Kohler (Warriors Mark, Pa./Tyrone Area) (4th place, 26:33.9). Following Kohler was Brendan Miller (Millersburg, Pa./Upper Dauphin) (6th place, 26:38.0), Shane Curran (Philadelphia, Pa./Father Judge) (17th place, 27:31.8), Matthew Berzonsky (Indiana, Pa./Indiana) (25th place, 28:09.7), and Andrew McGee (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon McMillan) (42nd place, 28:45.9).
The next time the Flash compete will be in the Northeast Conference Championships on October 30.
