BROCKPORT, N.Y. – Six student-athletes from the Saint Francis field hockey program were recognized by the NFHCA as Division I Scholars of Distinction, the association announced this week.
Junior
Lauren Alderson, sophomore
Carysse Norris, and freshmen
Eugenia Kenny,
Ella Maillie,
Olivia Muffitt, and
Samantha Murphy earned the national honor for their academic efforts. Saint Francis' six student-athletes recognized by the NFHCA ranks in the top 10 nationally among all Division I programs.
The Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2020-21 academic year.
The Six Red Flash Scholars of Distinction were joined earlier this month by 10 other members of the Saint Francis program on the NFHCA's Division I National Academic Squad.
Saint Francis will play two spring exhibitions at DeGol Field in April in preparation for a return to competition and to the Northeast Conference in August.
