LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches' Association (NFCA) announced its weekly awards on Tuesday. Sophomore pitcher Grace Vesco was named a Top Performer for the third-straight week following her performance at the Thundering Herd Round Robin.

Vesco threw her second no-hitter of the season at the Thundering Herd Round Robin last weekend, as the Red Flash beat Bowling Green 1-0. Vesco struck out nine batters through seven innings of work against BG to earn her third shutout of the season. She also pitched a complete game against Marshall as she has completed each game she's started this season (seven total).

Vesco recorded a 1.08 ERA this past weekend and improved to a 6-1 record on the season as she gave up just three hits in 13.0 innings pitched while striking out 14. At the Thundering Herd Round Robin, opponents batted just .070 against Vesco. This season, Vesco boasts a 1.29 ERA and 53 strikeouts through 49.0 innings of work with an opponent average of .111.

Earlier today, Vesco was named NEC Pitcher of the Week and an NEC Prime Performer. She was previously named NEC Pitcher of the Month for February and an NEC Prime Performer for February.
