SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Saint Francis women's lacrosse team looks to keep its recent success going when the Red Flash travels to the Ocean State for a Saturday showdown with Bryant.
The Red Flash, winner of four of its last five games, returns to action after Wednesday's game vs. Wagner was postponed due to a positive CoVID-19 test within the Seahawks program.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Bryant is 2-4 on the year with all six of its games coming against conference competition. The Bulldogs have dropped their last two contests with an 11-8 loss at LIU and 12-11 home defeat Wednesday at the hands of Sacred Heart. The Bulldogs are slated to play 10 games in a span of 29 days after early-season CoVID issues.
Caitlin Bolen leads the Bulldogs with 14 goals, while Emily Diaz has tallied a team-high 21 points. Sam Ciancio and Giana Kapoosuzian have split time in goal with each making three starts. Bryant's 4.83 caused turnovers per game are the fourth-fewest nationally.
SERIES HISTORY
Bryant has won all 11 meetings between the teams since the Bulldogs joined the NEC in 2009. The Bulldogs have scored 16.3 goals per game in those meetings, which most recently included a 20-15 Red Flash defeat in 2019.
Emileigh Scott scored five goals and added nine draw controls in that meeting.

Peyton LeConte was selected as a Prime Performer. Heidt (Player of the Week) and Hernandez (Rookie of the Week) give the Red Flash six of a possible 18 NEC weekly awards this season.

Peyton LeConte has recorded 24 ground balls and 22 caused turnovers in 2021. LeConte's 22 caused turnovers are tied for third in the nation.
Lacrosse Reference's dEGA (Defensive Expected Goals Added) formula, which measures how defensive players' value impacts the scoreboard, has LeConte 12th at 5.37 dEGA through eight games.
WEATHER HEATING UP, ATTACK DUO HEATING UP

Emileigh Scott has scored 16 times over her last four games, including a pair of five-goal performances in wins over Central Connecticut and Merrimack. Scott is second in the league in goals with 24 over eight games.
