Maria Bettiana Ceretta announced field hockey's fall schedule on Tuesday. The Red Flash plays its season opener at home as the first of eight games to be hosted at DeGol Field this fall. View full schedule

"It's exciting to be able to return to official competition soon and announcing our schedule means we are one step closer to doing that," said Ceretta. "We've been working hard during the extended offseason to make sure we are ready to return to NEC competition and I'm looking forward to getting back on the field and proving what we can do."
Saint Francis opens the season on August 27 as it hosts Holy Cross at noon. Its next pair of games is on the road at James Madison (August 29) and Brown (September 3) before the Red Flash hosts Ball State at noon on September 5. SFU will play its veterans appreciation game against Lock Haven on September 10 at 6 p.m. The Red Flash takes a trip to Oxford, Ohio to face Longwood (September 25) and Miami (September 26) before beginning conference play.
SFU hosts Wagner on October 1 at 3 p.m. in the Northeast Conference opener. Other home conference games include Sacred Heart (October 15 at 3 p.m.) and LIU (October 29 at 1 p.m.). The Red Flash plays four NEC road games – Bryant (October 8), Merrimack (October 10), Fairfield (October 22) and Rider (October 24).
The Red Flash hosts Central Michigan on October 3 for senior day at noon. Saint Francis also travels to Georgetown (October 17) before wrapping up the regular season at Bellarmine (October 31).
The NEC Tournament is scheduled for November 5-7.
