LORETTO, Pa. –
Myles Thompson (Camden, N.J./Camden), a member of the Saint Francis University men's basketball team, has been named a Northeast Conference (NEC) Men's Basketball Prime Performer for the week of Jan. 18-23.
Thompson, a 6-6 forward, averaged 19.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game in a 2-0 week for the Red Flash. The senior posted his second career 20-point performance with a season-high 21 points along with seven rebounds in a 68-67 win against Central Connecticut State University on Friday. Thompson had 17 of his 21 points in the second half rally. The Camden, N.J., native, followed up his season best with 17 points and a career-high six assists in an 85-74 win against Sacred Heart University on Sunday. He shot 53.3 percent (16-for-30) from the floor and made six free throws against the Pioneers.
The senior has crossed the 900-point mark and now has 918 points in his career. Thompson ranks second on the team with 12.1 points per game, but fuels the team with 13.0 points per game in league games. He ranks 16th in overall scoring in the league and fifth in 3-point field goal percentage (.426).
Thompson becomes the fifth Red Flash player to earn Prime Performer this season, joining redshirt senior
