OPENING TEE
>> The Saint Francis University men's golf team will play its second event of the season at the Tom Tontimonia Invitational hosted by Cleveland State on Monday and Tuesday. It will be the second-straight season the team has competed in the event.
>> The Red Flash will join host Cleveland State, Dayton, Bowling Green, Purdue Fort Wayne, Youngstown State, Robert Morris, Green Bay, Northern Kentucky, IUPUI, Loyola (Chicago), Butler, and Eastern Illinois in the field. Teams will have a shotgun start on Monday at 9 a.m. and will play 36 continuous holes. The final round of 18 holes on Monday will be tee times between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m.

Luke Minsky shot an even final round to move up 10 spots into 13th place to lead the Saint Francis men's golf team to an eighth-place standing at the Tom Tontimonia Invitational on October 5, 2021.
Nathan Godbout and
Alex Kiepert finished 26th overall with a 146.
Marc-Antoine Hotte one stroke behind Kiepert and Godbout with a 147 in 37th place
J.W. Cunningham rounded out the team players, finishing in 69th place with a score of 157. Saint Francis shot a 293 in the first round and 290 in the final round to finish eighth with a 583.
LAST TIME ON THE TEE
Thomas Webb finished 47th to pace the Saint Francis men's golf team at the Turning Stone Intercollegiate on September 3. Webb shot an 82 and a team-best even-round of 72 on the opening day and then posted an 80 in the final round for a three-round score of 234.
Nathan Godbout had the best round of the day with a round of 78 to move into 52nd place. Godbout finished the three-rounds with a score of 240 (80-82-78) and added two birdies in the final round after carding two birdies on the first day.
Avery Papalia (53rd place, 241),
Luke Minsky (54th place, 242) and
Jackson Hoey (59th place, 246) also competed for the Loretto program. Saint Francis shot a 311 in the first round, a 312 in the second round and a 322 in the final round to card a 945 in the first event of the year to place 11th.

Freshmen
Thomas Webb and
Kyle McClintock join the team for the 2022-23 season. Webb made his collegiate debut at the Turning Stone Intercollegiate.
COMING OFF A GREAT FINISH LAST SEASON
Saint Francis finished second at the Northeast Conference Men's Golf Championships in May to notch the best team finish since 2013. The squad finished second at the league championships for the fifth time in program history.
Luke Minsky returns to the team after finishing seventh.
