LORETTO, Pa. – The Saint Francis University field hockey team placed 22 student-athletes on the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) National Academic Squad.
Riley Kromer (Lancaster, N.Y.),
Carysse Norris (Narvon, Pa.) and
Caileen Quinn (Walpole, Mass.) were named to the squad for the third-straight year, while eight other players received the distinction for the second-consecutive season.
"We are extremely proud of our student-athletes' academic performance from an individual and team level this past year," said field hockey head coach
Maria Bettiana Ceretta. "The academic and athletic demands at Saint Francis are high and each one of these individuals demonstrated a strong commitment to meeting and exceeding their goals. We hope to carry this tradition of excellence into the spring semester."

Dolores Zavaleta (San Juan, Argentina) were named to the team for the first time.
The Red Flash had 81.4 percent of its roster named to the team and 64.7 percent of the returning roster were named to the squad for the second or third time.
Over 1,370 student-athletes from 80 Division I institutions have been named to the 2021 NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad.
The NFHCA National Academic Squad program, sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, honors collegiate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.3 or higher through the first semester of the current academic year, and were nominated by their NFHCA member coach.
