Women's Soccer Closes Road Trip with Match Against West Virginia

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>> The Red Flash will close out their nonconference road trip with a match against West Virginia at 1pm.
>> West Virginia comes into play with a 1-1-1 record while the Red Flash are still searching for their first win of the season.
>> The match will be streamed live on ESPN+ for the second consecutive match.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Red Flash weren't able to gain any traction on the road at La Salle this past Thursday as they fell by a score of 3-0. Saint Francis had four shots total throughout the match while goalkeeper Sarah McConnon notched four saves on the night. 

WORD ON WEST VIRGINIA
West Virginia has played three matches so far winning against St. Joseph's, tying against Indiana, and took a loss to #10 ranked Penn State. The Mountaineers have had five different players score one goal this year which is tied for the team lead. In net, West Virginia is guided by senior Kayza Massey who has started all three matches so far in the 2022 season and posts a .786 save percentage.

LAST TIME WE MET
These two squads met last September in the nonconference slate as the Mountaineers controlled the match and won 5-0. The two teams have met five times in their series history and this will be the fifth straight match that will take place in Morgantown, West Virginia.

UP NEXT
The Red Flash will begin their 2022 home slate for the first time this season as they host Cleveland State this upcomign Thursday at 3:30pm. The match can be seen live for free on NEC Front Row.
