TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
Saint Francis jumped out to a 5-0 lead after one quarter and never looked back. McHenry got the scoring started unassisted at 12:57 before she found the back of the net off a feed from Bella Fisher (Duxbury, Mass.) at 10:33. Hernandez hit a twine twinkler at 9:56 before Bella Fisher scored off a feed from Colleen Roche (Miami, Fla.) at 3:49. Hernandez then connected with Lizzie Fisher (Hagerstown, Md.) with one second left in the first quarter for a five-goal lead.

FLASH QUOTES

"Today's win was a good overall team effort. We played an outstanding defensive game. I'm proud of the defensive unit for tying the school record for least goals allowed. Holding any team to two goals is very difficult thing to do. It shows how disciplined and focused our locked down defense can be. Another highlight was having 12 players involved in the scoring. Over half of the goals were assisted. That's amazing. The attackers were very unselfish with the ball today which made it a fun game to watch. The trip to DC allowed us to reenergize for the challenges ahead. We will be locked in over the next two days preparing for Stonehill." - head coach Tracy Coyne on the game

FLASH MOMENTS
The Red Flash then scored six of the eight goals in the second quarter. Kelly Dickson (Blue Bell, Pa.) scored at 13:52 and 6:28 to notch two scores in the 15 minutes, while Julea Jamison (Pittsburgh, Pa.) (14:43), Hernandez (6:42), McHenry (2:32) and Tori Petrie (Whitney Point, N.Y.) (0:15) also twinkled the twine in the second quarter. Hernandez and Petrie had a tally and a helper in the frame, while McHenry's marker with 2:32 put the graduate student one goal short of 100 goals for her career.

After Howard scored with 5:06 left in the second half, the Red Flash did not allow another score in the final 35:06 of the match.

The Loretto program added five goals in the third quarter to open up a 16-2 lead. Mak Patten (Welland, Ontario) posted a career-best two goals and an assist in the 15 minutes with tallies at 13:32 and 7:36 and a helper at 5:59 on Makayla Murray's (Bow, N.H.) first career score. Hernandez (10:52) and Nancy Alden (0:03) also registered goals in the quarter. Roche dished out a pair of assists in the frame, while it was Alden's first score of the season.

Bella Fisher (13:53), Hernandez (10:25) and Brooke Lacey (Bethel, Conn.) (1:59) sealed the 19-2 win with markers in the final 15 minutes.

FLASH NUGGETS
McHenry finished with exactly a hat trick for the second time this season and ninth time in her career. Along with being on the doorstep of milestones for goals and draw controls, McHenry needs nine assists to tie the program career mark for assists with 76.

Hernandez registered a career-best four scores after posting a hat trick three times in her career. It is the second time this season she has recorded a career-high six points after posting two tallies and four assists against Stetson on March 14.

Bella Fisher, the current NEC Co-Rookie of the Week, registered a career-high two assists and three ground balls along with two goals and two caused turnovers.

Roche dished out a career-best three helpers for the second time this season. The sophomore had three feeders against Delaware State on March 5. Petrie notched her third career goal and second career assist on the afternoon, while the two points were a career best.

Chyler Espino (San Francisco, Calif.) had five ground balls and five draw controls, while Hernandez, Dickson and Lacey each had four ground balls. Lacey also grabbed four draw controls.

Patten and Murray both registered their first career goals on the afternoon.

Along with tying the program record for fewest goals allowed in a single game, the Red Flash bested its NEC mark of five goals it set against Howard last season in Loretto.
