LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis University softball's
Grace Vesco was named Northeast Conference Pitcher of the Week for the third week in a row, the conference announced Tuesday.
Savannah Nash joined Vesco as an NEC Prime Performer selection.

Vesco, a senior, had a 0.88 ERA with five runs (two earned) on six hits with 13 walks and 22 strikeouts against George Mason and Virginia. She went a complete 10 innings and allowed one hit with a career-high 14 strikeouts in a 1-0 win over George Mason. She lowered her season ERA to 2.33 and has 68 strikeouts in 54 innings pitched.

With her 22 strikeouts over the weekend, she is now second in program history with 469-career strikeouts. She is 106 behind program all-time leader Laura Caldwell's 575 strikeouts between 2006-09. She is also second in program history with 46-career wins – six shy of Ketarah DeVries' 52 from 2013-17.

Nash, a freshman, was 5-for-12 (.417) with one double, one triple and two RBIs in four games at the Palmer Park Clash. She drove in the eventual game-winning run in a 10-inning 1-0 victory over George Mason. The triple in Saint Francis' second game against George Mason was the first of her career and fourth by a Red Flash player this season.

Vesco now has three NEC Pitcher of the Week honors in a row and 11 in her career, while she also has 15 Prime Performer selections. Nash's Prime Performer was the first of her career and she joins teammate
Madelyn Wilson as the only two Saint Francis freshmen with a weekly honor this season.

Saint Francis returns to action on Friday, March 10 against Penn State in Tampa, Fla. The game kicks off a five-game weekend for Saint Francis at the USF Tournament hosted by South Florida.
