LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis Women' Soccer's
Sarah McConnon was named a Northeast Conference Prime Performer, the conference announced on Monday. McConnon was selected as a prime performer due to her ten-save performance against Central Connecticut State on Sunday.
McConnon made several key saves throughout the match, the best of those being a kick save in the 16th minute on a short range shot from Central Connecticut State's Giavanna Inzerillo, who leads the conference in goals.
In the 77th minute, McConnon came up big again with a jumping save to knock a dangerous shot over the crossbar to keep the game level.
The Red Flash will be back in action this Thursday at 1:00 p.m. when they host Delaware State. The match will be streamed live on NEC Front Row.Â
