WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>>The Saint Francis men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Father Bede Invitational at the B & D Acres on Friday.
>>The women's team finished second out of 10 teams with 73 points, trailing first-place Duquesne who ended with 22 points.
>>The men's team finished sixth out of 10 teams with 140 points. Duquesne took first with 30 points and Indiana (Pa.) followed with 41.
FLASH WOMEN NUGGETS
Anna Quackenbush (Mount Airy, Md.) was the first across the finish line for the women's team in her first collegiate meet, finishing at ninth place with a time of 19:53.5. Tesslyn Helms (Pittsburgh, Pa.) followed behind Quackenbush in 11th place with a time of 20:06.
Monica Gregg (Henrietta, N.Y.) was the third-leading runner, placing 14th with a time of 20:18.5. Morgan McNaughton (Summerville, Pa.) clocked in at 25th place with a time of 21:00.7.
To round out the top-five, Ellie Wanner (Volant, Pa.) finished in 26th place with a time of 21:17.3.
FLASH MEN NUGGETS
Daniel Kelly (Spring Mills, Pa.) paced the men's team, finishing 12th with a time of 20:06.2. Aaron Tressler (New Alexandria, Pa.), in his first collegiate meet, followed behind Kelly by placing 19th with a time of 20:19.7.
Joseph Piccilaro (Brockport, Pa.) was the third leading runner for the Red Flash, finishing 31st with a time of 20:41.4. John Flynn Jr. (Ashland, Pa.) was 49th with a time of 21:14.2.
Wyatt Foster (Saint Marys, Pa.) rounded out the top-five at 58th place in his first collegiate meet with a time of 21:34.7.

The Red Flash will compete at the Lock Haven Invitational on Saturday, September 23 starting at 10:00 a.m. The men's 8K race begins at 10:00 a.m. and the women's 6K will follow at 11 a.m.
