The Saint Francis men's soccer team (1-0-3) continues their three-match home stand, hosting nonconference St. Bonaventure on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the Stokes Soccerplex.
The Red Flash battled nonconference Robert Morris to finish in a 2-2 draw Tuesday afternoon in their first match of the home stand. Sophomore
Milan Djajic put Saint Francis on the board in the 46th minute after burying a penalty kick into the net to earn his first goal of the season.
In the final minute of the match, freshman
Joschi Schelb was able to draw the match 2-2. Schelb leads the team with seven points.
THE WORD ON THE BONNIES
St. Bonaventure comes into Saturday's match 1-2-1 overall under head coach Kwame Oduro who is in his ninth season with the Bonnies. The team opened the season with a 2-0 road victory over Houston Christian. St. Bonaventure then tied Incarnate Word 1-1 and are coming into Saturday's match following two straight losses against CCSU (3-2) and Binghamton (3-1).
The Bonnies are led offensively by junior midfielder Andres Javitt who has six shots on goal and two goals on the season. Javitt is a transfer from Montgomery College where he spent the last two seasons. He registered 48 goals and 28 assists with the Raptors.
In net for the Bonnies is senior goalkeeper Jules Dechert. The Frenchman has started all four matches and collected 20 saves on the season. Dechert started 10 matches last season and made 51 saves.
Last season the Bonnies finished 3-10-3 and 0-6-2 in the Atlantic-10 conference. St. Bonaventure took victories over Bucknell (2-0), Binghamton (2-0) and Niagara (2-1).
St. Bonaventure was picked last in the Atlantic-10 Preseason Poll.

St. Bonaventure leads the all-time series over Saint Francis 14-8-1. The Red Flash have won the last two meetings over the Bonnies on the road. Saint Francis opened the 2022 season with a 1-0 victory over St. Bonaventure.
