Fletcher Dasso and
Toby Webb both shot an even-par round of 71 to pace Saint Francis after Sunday's first round of the Old Dominion/Outer Banks Intercollegiate. Both players are tied for ninth place after first day.
>> Webb started his round with a two-over 38 on the first nine holes before regrouping on his final nine holes with a two-under-par 33 to finish with a 71. The junior had birdies on holes one, three, four, and 15 and added 10 pars.
>> Dasso had similar results to Webb with identical splits but carded birdies on holes two, eight, nine, and 12 with 11 pars. The freshman finished his afternoon with back-to-back birdies.
>> The Red Flash sits seventh after 18 holes with 36 holes to play.

FLASH MOMENTS
Alex Yong is one stroke behind Webb and Dasso with a one-over par round of 72 to sit in 18th place. Yong also went two-over par on his first nine holes and then had a one-under-par final nine holes. The freshman recorded birdies on one, two, eight, 12, and 18 with seven pars.
Hunter Jurica (59th place, 79) and
Trent Meyers (59th place, 79) rounded out the Saint Francis competitors. Jurica recorded a birdie on hole one and nine pars, while Meyers posted three birdies (eight, 12, and 14) with six pars.
Saint Joesph leads the three-day, three-round event with a score of 284, one stroke ahead of Drexel. Georgetown (287), Old Dominion (288), and Murray State (288) round out the Top 5 teams. The Red Flash are nine strokes out of the lead with a 293 to sit in seventh place.
UP NEXT
After starting on the back nine, Saint Francis will open the second round on the first tee and will be paired with Omaha. Meyers will be the first Red Flash player on the tee at 8:30 a.m. He will be followed by Jurica (8:39 a.m.), Yong (8:48 a.m.), Dasso (8:57 a.m.) and Webb (9:06 a.m.).
