LAST TIME OUT
The teams returned to B & D Acres for the Red Flash Rally Saturday, November 9. It was the second home meet the Red Flash have participated in this season. The women finished second while the men placed fourth.
Emma Fleck (15:56.9) and Jordan Dean (16:03.3) were the top runners for both squads in the women's 4k by claiming fourth and fifth, respectively. Michelangelo Piccirillo (21:27.4) had the top finish for the men in the 6k race, placing 16th.
RED FLASH AT NCAA MID ATLANTIC REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS HISTORY
Saint Francis has participated in the Mid Atlantic Region Championships since 1997. The men's best finish was third in 2000 at Penn State. The women's highest mark is 13th at the 1999 and 2004 Championships.
In total, seven runners combined have earned All-Region for their performances at the Championships. The last one was Bryce England earning the honors in 2016 and 2017. He finished 25th and 10th, respectively. The highest finish by any men's Red Flash runner was Kevin Doyle, who placed third in 2001. Roberta Pickens's 19th place finish in 1997 is the highest placement by the women.
At the 2023 Championships hosted by Lehigh University, the women finished 20th while the men took 26th. Tesslyn Helms had the best finish by both teams in 99th with a time of 21:50.6.
