Softball Announces 2025 Schedule

2025 Schedule

LORETTO, Pa. – Softball announced its 2025 schedule, featuring 31 non-conference games and 21 conference matchups. The Red Flash will also host 14 home games this season.

"We are excited for another year with a competitive schedule," head coach Beth Krysiak said. "We look forward to using the preseason to gain some experience with our younger squad, and we are ready to get on the field to compete in the storied traditions of the Red Flash softball program."

The 2025 campaign kicks off with the Gamecock Invitational in Columbia, S.C. on Feb. 7-9, facing Toledo, East Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. This will be the first of two games the Red Flash will play against the Toledo Rockets. Last season, South Carolina and Virginia made it to the second round of the NCAA Regionals.

The Red Flash will head to Harrisonburg, Va. to play in the Lakeside Book Company Invitational, hosted by James Madison. Saint Francis will play Buffalo and James Madison twice between Feb. 14-16, rounding out the weekend with a game against Delaware at 6:30 on Feb. 14.

Saint Francis will spend time in the DMV, playing doubleheaders against George Mason and UMBC on Feb. 22 and 23. The Red Flash stand at 10-15 against the Patriots and 2-0 against the Retrievers.

From Feb. 28 to March 4, Saint Francis will play seven games in Florida. First, Saint Francis will play Toledo, Eastern Illinois, Bradley and Florida International as part of the FIU Classic. Saint Francis will play Florida International on March 2 and 4 before taking on Florida Gulf Coast on March 4 before heading back north for the remainder of the season.

The program's final non-conference tournament will be the Ohio State Tournament on March 7-9. The Red Flash open the tournament against a familiar foe in Merrimack before facing Ohio State, Texas, Kent State and Oakland. Saint Francis is 0-1 against the Longhorns and has never played Kent State, Oakland or Ohio State.

Saint Francis will open Northeast Conference play at home against Stonehill on March 15-16. The Red Flash are 6-0 against the Skyhawks, including a sweep at Stonehill last season.

March 18 will be the first of four midweek, nonconference matchups with a doubleheader against Robert Morris. The Red Flash and the Colonials have not squared off since 2019 when Robert Morris was a member of the NEC. Saint Francis is 32-57-1 against Robert Morris.

Le Moyne will come to Red Flash Softball Field for a three-game series on March 22-23. Last season was the first time Saint Francis faced Le Moyne as one of the newest members of the conference.

Saint Francis will then head out on back-to-back road series, facing CCSU, who Saint Francis defeated 12-0 in five innings in last season's NEC Championship game, on March 29-30. They will face LIU in Brooklyn, N.Y. the following weekend.

On April 8, the Red Flash will take on Penn State in University Park. Last season, Saint Francis fell to Penn State 3-2 in extra innings.

Returning to conference play, Saint Francis will host the Knights of FDU on April 12-13. The Red Flash boast a seven-game winning streak over the Knights.

Saint Francis will travel to Erie, Pa. to play Mercyhurst, the newest member of the Northeast Conference on April 18-19. The Red Flash are 1-2 all-time against the Lakers, but the two teams have not faced off since 1990.

The Red Flash will make the short trip west to play Pitt on April 22. Saint Francis is 11-26 against the Panthers.

Saint Francis's final conference games of the regular season will be at home against Wagner on April 26-27. The team will also host Bucknell for a pair of games on April 29 to conclude the regular season.

The Red Flash are returning All-NEC players Annabelle Farmer, Savannah Nash and Olivia Ulam.
