>> Saint Francis Track & Field will open the 2024-25 indoor season at the Bison Opener at Bucknell University's Gerhard Fieldhouse on Saturday.
>> The first field event will be men's long jump at 10:30 a.m. and the first track event will be the men's 60m hurdle trials at 1:00 p.m.
>> Forty two athletes, 27 men and 15 women, will be competing at the meet for the Red Flash.

2024-25 INDOOR SEASON PREVIEW
Head Coach
Douglas Hoover is returning for his 13th season at the helm of the Saint Francis University Track & Field program.
The Red Flash are coming off a 2023-24 indoor season where the women finished fourth and the men took fifth at the Northeast Conference (NEC) Indoor Track & Field Championships. The Red Flash had nine podium finishes and three event victories.
Tesslyn Helms (5000m run) and
Carly Sedun (weight throw) are two athletes that will be back after finishing third at the Championships. All-Rookie team members
Dylan Andrews,
Gianna Anderson and
Anna Quackenbush are also back.
In total, 57 athletes (29 women and 28 men) are returning for Saint Francis. Twenty one freshmen, 15 men and six women, will be making their collegiate debuts on Saturday.
RED FLASH AT BISON OPENER HISTORY
It will be the 14th time since the 2008-09 season that Saint Francis will be opening the season at the Bison Opener. Last year's event saw the teams combine for five top-5 finishes, including three in the top-3.
NEXT UP FOR RED FLASH
The Red Flash will travel to the Ocean Breeze Track & Field Athletic Complex in Staten Island, N.Y. to compete in the Wagner College Seahawk Shootout hosted by Wagner College on Dec. 13.
