Men's and Women's Tennis Head East For Five Total Matches

LORETTO, Pa.– Saint Francis University men's and women's tennis will both head east for a combined five matches from Mar. 27 to Mar. 29. The men will play three matches and the women will play two. 

Women's Tennis Quick Hits 
Saint Francis heads into the weekend with an even 10-10 record on the year and a 4-1 record in the NEC. Diana Zuba currently leads the Red Flash and holds the lead in the Northeast Conference in singles wins with a 20-6 record on the year. Zuba is 13-3 from the No. 1 position in dual matches this season and has won nine of her last ten singles contests. 

Kelly Dowuona has 13 singles wins on the season as well. 

Dowuona leads the team in doubles wins on the season with a 16-10 record. Sara Jankovic and Reagen Mangan are right behind her with a 14 and 13 doubles wins respectively.  
 
Scouting Lafayette 
The Leopards are 10-7 entering the match and 5-3 at home. 

Lafayette is 1-0 against common opponents. They beat Le Moyne 4-3 on Mar. 3. 

All-Time vs. Lafayette 
Saint Francis is 3-0 all-time against Lafayette. The Red Flash won last year's meeting with the Leopards 6-1.  

Scouting Wagner 
Wagner is 6-10 on the year 2-3 in the NEC. 

The Seahawks are 2-3 against common opponents this season. They beat Binghamton 4-2 and Stonehill 5-2, and they lost 4-3 to Colgate, 4-2 to Le Moyne and 7-0 to Sacred Heart. 

All-Time vs. Wagner 

Saint Francis is 9-1 all-time against Wagner. The Red Flash dropped the first meeting and have won the last nine dating back to 2008.  
 
 
Men's Tennis Quick Hits 
Saint Francis enters their matches this week at 9-5 on the season and are a perfect 4-0 in the NEC so far. They are winners of their last four matches. Alan Gonzalez leads the Red Flash in singles competition this year with a 18-6 record and is third in the NEC in singles wins. 

Tyler Nguyen holds the next best singles record for Saint Francis at 13-7. 

Kevin Kruzel leads the Red Flash in doubles play with a 16-6 record on the year. 

Scouting Lafayette 
The Leopards are 6-9 overall and 0-1 against common opponents, losing to Le Moyne 6-1 on Mar. 3 

All-Time vs. Lafayette 

Saint Francis holds a 2-1 advantage in the all-time series against the Leopards, taking the last two meetings after dropping the first one. 

Scouting Monmouth 
Hawks are 11-2 on the season and winners of their last four. They will have played two more matches against Fairleigh Dickinson and St. John's respectively before they see the Red Flash.  

All-Time vs. Monmouth 

Saint Francis trails Monmouth 3-1 in the all-time series, with their last win coming in 2013. The two teams have not met since 2014. 

Scouting Wagner 
Wagner currently sits at 1-14 on the year and are 0-6 in the NEC.  

The Seahawks will have played another match, against Lafayette, before seeing the Red Flash. 

All-Time vs. Wagner 

Saint Francis leads the all-time series against Wagner, 10-3. The Red Flash lost last year's meeting with the Seahawks, 4-3. 
 
Next 
The women's team will head to Maryland for a match with Towson on Apr. 3, while the men will host Binghamton on Apr. 6 for Senior Day.
