(St. George, Vt.) finished the first day of the Meadows Intercollegiate in 56th place to pace the Saint Francis men's golf team on Monday.
>> Godbout shot an eight-over par 79 in the first round thanks to a birdie on the first hole and nine pars before carding a three-over-par 74 in the second round of the continuous 36 holes on the afternoon. The senior had a birdie on eight and 16, along with 10 pars in the second round of the afternoon, and finished the day with three birdies and 19 pars in the two rounds.

Meyers posted a birdie on the first hole and nine pars in an eight-over par 79 first round before recording a seven-over par 78 in the second round. The freshman had three birdies in the second round of the day (four, seven, 16) with six pars and finished the first 36 holes with four birdies and 15 pars. Cascino tallied 12 pars in his first-round score of 80 before eight pars, with a total of 81 in the second round for 20 pars in the two rounds. Hoey had eight pars in his first-round score of 83 and then had a birdie on 12 and nine pars in the second-round total of 79. The senior had a birdie and 17 pars through 36 holes. McClintock had a birdie on 16 and nine pars in the first round and three pars in the second round to finish the afternoon with a birdie and 12 pars.Â
Ben Diskin (Charlotte, N.C.) (74th place, 174) competes in the event as an individual. He had a birdie on five and six pars in the first round and seven pars in the second round to have a birdie and 13 pars in the 36 holes.Â
Minnesota leads the three-round, two-day event with a 20-under par score of 548, seven strokes ahead of Indian Hillis Community College (555). Host Miami (Ohio) (561), Youngstown State (572), and North Dakota State (573) round out the top-five teams. Saint Francis shot a 320 in the first round and then improved by eight strokes in the second round with a 312 to post a two-round score of 632 to sit in 11th place.
