Sarah Colman Breaks Women’s 600-Meter Dash School Record, Track & Field Records 12 Top-10 Finishes At Nittany Lion Challenge

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>> Saint Francis track & field's Sarah Colman broke the women's indoor 600-meter dash school record as a part of 12 top-10 finishes for both teams at the Nittany Lion Challenge hosted by Penn State's Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track on Saturday.

>> Colman finished eighth overall in the 600-meter dash with a time of 1:38.15. The sophomore broke a 21-year old record that was previously held by Marcella Hughes, who recorded a time of 1:38.34 on January 11, 2004 in Windsor, Ontario.

>> The best finish of the day came from Julian Saunders in the men's 200-meter dash. The senior placed third with a time of 21.90. He also registered a seventh place finish in the men's 60-meter dash with a time of 6.90.

FLASH MEN NUGGETS
Along with Saunders, the men combined for seven top-10 finishes and two top 10 all-time performances.

In the jumps, Tyler Craft finished fifth in the men's triple jump with a mark of 13.67m. Jayden Foster was another freshman that had a top-10 finish, coming in sixth in the men's long jump with a jump of 6.91m. Foster's jump is the seventh-best mark in the long jump in Saint Francis indoor track & field history.

Clark Gulycz led the throws with a eighth place finish in shot put with a mark of 16.00m. Trey Baney took 10th in the men's weight throw with a throw of 15.95m.

John Flynn Jr. rounded out the top-10 finishes in the men's 800-meter run, placing eighth with a time of 1:56.19.

Collin Dreese is now fifth all-time in the men's 600-meter dash after finishing with a time of 1:26.79.

FLASH WOMEN NUGGETS
The women's team finished with five top-10 finishes, Colman's school record, and one more performance that made it into the Red Flash history books.

Brooke Long (4th: 5.50m) and Paige Drake (9th: 5.32m) each claimed a top-10 finish in the women's long jump.

Olivia Renk registered a ninth place finish in the women's 200-meter dash with a time of 25.33. The freshman's time is the seventh-best mark in the event across all of Saint Francis history.

Carly Sedun rounded out the top performers by taking 10th in the women's weight throw with a mark of 15.95m.

Mariclare Anderson is now sixth all-time in the women's 600-meter dash after clocking in a time of 1:42.69.
