After another successful road trip, Saint Francis added more accolades. The NEC announced today that two Red Flash Field Hockey players received Prime Performer honors. Junior Goalkeeper Mia DiGenova (King of Prussia, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) and Sophomore Sofia Marciano (Buenos Aires, Argentina, Del Viso Day School) were once again recognized for their impressive performances this past weekend.
During the road series, DiGenova achieved her seventh shutout of the year with a 2-0 win over Rider. Besides that game, on Sunday, she made six more saves in a 3-2 overtime win against Towson University. This marks her sixth time being named prime performer and her eighth award of the 2025 season.
Marciano also delivered a weekend worth celebrating from the conference, scoring two crucial goals in the intense defensive battle against Towson on Sunday. This marks her third time being named prime performer and her fourth award of the 2025 season.
The Saint Francis Red Flash returns to Loretto this weekend for its final home series of the 2025 campaign. The first match of the series will be against Sacred Heart at 3 pm within the confines of DeGol Field. Game time is 3 p.m.
