TURNING POINTS OF THE GAME
For the second time this season, Saint Francis got off to a fast start before the opponent found an answer and went on for the win.

After the Red Flash had a 5-1 advantage, the Penguins closed the first half on an 8-3 run and opened the second half with the first five scores of the final 30 minutes.

FLASH MOMENTS
Fueled by three tallies by Givens, Saint Francis jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the match.

Mak Patten started the surge with her first goal of the season off a feed by Heather Delbone 12 seconds into the match. It was a return the favor for Delbone and Patten after Patten assisted Delbone's two goals against Akron on Tuesday.

After a Penguins goal to tie the game at 1, the Red Flash posted the following four goals. Givens twinkled the twine off a feed by Roncarati at 13:13 before Patten continued to help the newcomers with their collegiate first tally, assisting Samantha Hewitt's first career score at 10:45. Givens completed the spurt with consecutive tallies off a Molly Riva assist at 7:21 and on a free-position opportunity at 6:26 for the four-goal lead.

Brooke Lacey increased the Red Flash advantage to 6-3 with her first goal of the season with nine seconds left in the first quarter.

Roncarati posted both of the Saint Francis goals in the second quarter unassisted at 11:55 for a 7-4 lead and off a Victoria DiRenno feeder with 4:31 left in the first half for an 8-7 edge.

Givens registered her fourth goal of the afternoon at 4:31 in the third quarter.

Delbone found the back of the net for the second-straight game, thanks to another assist from Patten at 9:50 in the fourth quarter.

FLASH NUGGETS
Givens has registered three or more goals nine times in her career and has three matches with four or more scores. It is the third time the junior has registered exactly four markers in a game, with all of them coming on the road (at Stetson [March 14, 2013] and at FDU [March 30, 2024]). She posted a career-high five goals at home against Stonehill on April 1, 2023. The junior also had three draw controls, two caused turnovers, and a ground ball.

Patten, who had a career-high three assists at Akron, notched her third career three-point performance and now has a goal and five assists for six points in the season's first two games. Patten had three goals and five assists in 20 games during her first two seasons in Loretto. Her goal was the first since her freshman year when she registered a tally in back-to-back matches she played at Howard (two goals, one assist, March 29, 2023) and against FDU (one goal, April 12, 2023).

Roncarati registered her eighth multi-goal performance of her career and her first since finding the back of the net twice against Longwood on February 22, 2023. It is the second time in her career that she recorded three points in a game after her four-goal performance against Canisius on February 23, 2022. It was also the first time she registered a goal and an assist in the same game in her career.

Delbone has three goals and an assist in her first two collegiate games. Delbone dished out her collegiate assist in the game while Hewitt scored her first career goal. Riva registered her second career assist after dishing out her first career helper against Delaware State on April 10, 2024.

Taylor Coughlin had six saves in the game. Along with an assist, DiRenno added three draw controls, two caused turnovers, and a ground ball. Lacey tallied two caused turnovers and two ground balls.
