Men's And Women's Tennis Prep For NEC Championships

West Windsor, N.J. – Saint Francis University men's and women's tennis both begin their NEC Championship chases on Thursday, Apr. 17 when they both take on Binghamton in the opening round of the NEC Tournament. 

The men's team is the five seed, while the women are the two seed.

Women's Tennis Quick Hits 
Saint Francis enters the match with a 14-7 overall record and an impressive 7-1 in the Northeast Conference (NEC). Last time out the Red Flash cruised to a 6-1 win over Mercyhurst. The win set the program record for most wins in a season on the women's side.

Diana Zuba, Dasha Chichkina and Kelly Dowuona are the top singles performers for the Red Flash so far this season. Zuba is 24-9 in singles, Chichkina is 23-8 and Dowuona is 23-11. 

Zuba and Chichkina are the top doubles pairing for the Red Flash this season at 18-16 on the year.

Chichkina racked up four consecutive NEC Rookie of the Week honors to end the 2025 regular season. The Richboro, Pa., is 7-2 in singles against NEC opponents this season.

Dowuona and Kally Kadzinski have each won six singles contests in a row.
 
Scouting Binghamton
The Bearcats enter the match at 7-11 overall and 1-6 in conference play.

Kayla Castellano is the top singles player for Binghamton at 10-10 on the year. Nitya Vyas and Loren Cuomo are the top doubles tandem for the Bearcats with a 7-5 record as a team.

All-Time vs. Binghamton
The Red Flash have won all four of the previous meetings between the two schools. It will be the third matchup of the seasonbetween Saint Francis and Binghamton. The Red Flash have not dropped points against the Bearcats since their first meeting back in 2022.

Men's Tennis Quick Hits 
Saint Francis are currently 6-12 overall and 2-5 in the NEC.

Kevin Titus Suresh is the top singles player for the Red Flash on the season at 18-7. Alan Gonzalez has also hit double-digit wins with a 14-12 record.

Mathis Tremblay enters the weekend as the Red Flash's top doubles player this year at 16-8 on the season. Tyler Nguyen, Gonzalez, Titus Suresh and Kevin Kruzel have all won 10 or more doubles matches this season.
 
Scouting Binghamton
The Bearcats are 10-11 on the year and 4-3 in conference play.

Ronin Lotlikar is the top singles player for Binghamton at 18-14 on the year. Felipe Costa is also playing well with a 15-12 record.

Kyle Weekes and James McPherson are the top doubles duo for the Bearcats, holding a 9-5 record together on the season.

All-Time vs. Binghamton
Thursday will mark the fourth meeting in two years between Red Flash and Bearcats, with Binghamton having won all three of the previous encounters. The Red Flash were defeated 5-2 by the Bearcats back in early February. The two schools met in the NEC title match last year, and the Bearcats won 4-1.
