Trent Meyers posted the best second round with a two-over par to pace Saint Francis at the Northeast Conference (NEC) men's golf championships on Friday.

Fletcher Dasso (22nd place, 151),
Alex Yong (34th place, 157), and
Alexander McClain (46th place, 161) have competed in both rounds, while
Ben Diskin posted an 88 in the second round after subbing in for
Hunter Jurica, who had an 87 in the opening round.
Dasso, who came into the second round in fifth place thanks to a first-round score of one-under-par 71, shot an 81 in the second round after carding a birdie on six, nine pars, five bogeys, and three double bogeys. Dasso had six birdies, 19 pars, seven bogeys, and four double bogeys for the tournament.
Yong also carded an 81 in the second round thanks to 10 pars, six bogeys, and two double bogeys. The freshman has three birdies, 18 pars, 12 bogeys, and three double bogeys in the two days.
McClain had an 83 on the second day with a birdie on two, five pars, 11 bogeys, and a double bogey. McClain has a birdie, 19 pars, 13 bogeys, and three double bogeys.
Diskin had a birdie on 13, four pars, nine bogeys, and four double bogeys in his first action in the NEC Championships.
LIU leads the three-round tournament after 36 holes with a score of 564, seven strokes ahead of Howard (571). FDU (575), Wagner (597), Le Moyne (597), Binghamton (600), Chicago State (601), UMES (619), Saint Francis (624), North Carolina Central (626) and Mercyhurst (631) round out the 11-team field. The Loretto program shot a 306 in the first round and a 318 in the second round.Â
NEXT UP FOR FLASH
Saint Francis will play with Chicago State and UMES in the final round and will start on the 10th tee. Diskin will be the first Red Flash player on the course at 9 a.m. and will be followed by McClain (9:10 a.m.), Yong (9:20 a.m.), Meyers (9:30 a.m.), and Dasso (9:40 a.m.).
