WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>> Saint Francis men's golf finished out the two-day Mountaineer Invitational in Bridgeport, W. Va., hosted by West Virginia at Pete Dye Golf Club.
>> The team finished the event in 19th place.
FLASH MOMENTSÂ
During the first day of the event, the Red Flash's second round was cut short due to darkness. The team resumed play early Tuesday morning before having one more round of 18 holes to complete.
After many weather delays during Tuesday's round, the Red Flash finished in 19th place at the Mountaineer Invitational. As a team, they shot a 997.
Toby Webb led the way for the Red Flash, shooting a combined three-round score of 232. Webb finished the invitational with three scores that never reached 10 over par. The senior tallied 24 pars and eight birdies.Â
Also competing for the Red Flash was Hunter Jurica (101st place, 252), Trent Meyers (102nd place, 256), Nick Haught (103rd place, 259), and Tanner Mona (104th place, 265)
The top five teams of the Mountaineer Invitational at Pete Dye include Clemson (844), tied in second was Texas Tech and West Virginia (848), and tied in fourth was TCU and Oklahoma State (855).
UP NEXTÂ
Saint Francis will be back on the course April 20th. The A team will compete at the Muirfield Shootout in Dublin, Ohio, hosted by Miami of Ohio. The B team will compete at the Penn State Altoona Spring Invitational in Altoona, Pa., at Sinking Valley Golf Club. Both competitions are single day events, and two rounds will be played.
