FRESHMAN (2007): Made an immediate impact as a freshman by finishing second on the team with 20 receptions and 305 receiving yards… was third on the team with 3 TD receptions… tied for second in NEC with 2 fumbles recovered… first career catch went for 31 yards and a touchdown at Robert Morris (9/15/07)… had season/career high 4 catches for 32 yards vs. CCSU (10/6/07)… caught 2 balls for 31 yards and a touchdown vs. Duquesne (10/13/07)… had 2 receptions for 53 yards vs. Monmouth (11/3/07)… caught 2 passes for a season/career high 81 yards and a TD in season-ending win at La Salle (11/17/07)… Business Administration major.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played his high school ball at Cleveland South, where he was all-Senate Conference First Team, all-district first team and all-Ohio honorable mention under head coach Jarvis Gibson... was a slot receiver and safety... had over 500 receiving yards and 13 TD receptions to go with 8 interceptions on defense... attended Cleveland Browns high school combine between junior and senior season... the fastest player on his team, Winston was a McDonald’s McScholar and a Romeo Crennel Scholar-Athlete.
