JUNIOR (2009): Parker stepped into the limelight in 2009 and became one of the most feared defenders in the Northeast Conference in 2009… named to the All-NEC Second-Team Defense for the second consecutive season… started 10 of 11 games for the Red Flash, missing just the first game of his career due to illness… finished the season with 308 career tackles, and will challenge for second place on the career list in 2010… recorded his second straight season of 100+ tackles, finishing third in the NEC in tackles per game (10.3) and total tackles (103)…blew away the NEC field in tackles for loss, finishing first in the conference with 16.0 for a total of 49 yards lost… led the Red Flash and finished second in the NEC with seven total sacks in 2009… recorded a season-high 17 tackles in the season opener against New Hampshire (9/5)… recorded two sacks against Morehead State (9/12)… tied the Red Flash season-high with 4.0 tackles for loss against Sacred Heart (10/10)… forced and recovered a fumble against Morehead State (9/12)… stepped in to punt in the season opener at New Hampshire, kicking seven times for 214 yards, an average of 30.6 yards per kick… recorded double-digit tackles in four games in 2009.
SOPHOMORE (2008): Had a break out season in 2008... was an anchor for the Flash defense in 2008 and earned a spot on the NEC’s All-Conference Second Team…started all 11 games as a sophomore…recorded 122 total tackles, 43 of which were solo... finished the year ranked ninth in the nation for total tackles... Parker and Lewis became the first duo of Red Flash linebackers to top the century mark since 2000…had 10 tackles for a loss for seven yards… one sack for six yards and five QB hurries… one interception returned for 13 yards at Monmouth (10/4/08).. also recovered a fumble against the Hawks… forced two fumbles… had a career high 19 tackles at Bryant (11/22/08))... made eight solo stops at Monmouth (10/4/08)... hurried the quarterback three times against Marist (9/13/08)... forced a fumble at both Morehead State (9/27/08) and Bryant (11/22/08)... made 14 stops against both Marist (9/13/08) and Sacred Heart (10/11/08).... finished the season ranked fourth in the NEC?in tackles.
FRESHMAN (2007): Parker had a sensational freshman season, finishing second on the team with 83 tackles… led squad with 3 interceptions, including a 61-yard pick for a touchdown, which is the longest interception return for a TD in school history… also had 31 solo tackles, 7.0 TFL of 26 yards, 2 sacks, a pass breakup and a fumble recovery… his 88 interception return yards for the season broke SFU’s single-season record… ranked eighth in NEC with 8.3 tackles per game… NEC Defensive Player-of-the-Week and NEC Rookie-of-the-Week (10/29/07)… tied for second in NEC with 3 interceptions as a freshman… made 8 stops, 2 TFL, and 2 sacks in collegiate debut against Morehead State (9/8/2007)… had 10 tackles at Liberty (9/29/07)… added 10 tackles, including 1 TFL, vs. CCSU (10/6/07)… had 6 tackles and first career interception against Duquesne (10/13/07)… had 7 tackles, 0.5 TFL, and 2 interceptions in win at Sacred Heart (10/27/07)… posted season/career high 15 tackles, including 7 solo, against Monmouth (11/3/07)… spring 2008 SFU Honor Roll.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played for head coach Joe Hamilton at Blackhawk H.S., where he helped guide the Cougars to an 11-2 record in 2006… was first team all-conference and second-team all-state as a senior… member of the WPIAL Fab 22 squad… led Blackhawk in tackles and rushing yards as a senior… honor roll student... will serve as a Student-Athlete Mentor in 2008-09… Exploratory major.
