SFU Women’s Soccer Drops Contest at Northwestern

EVANSTON, Ill. (Sept. 21, 2007) – The Saint Francis women's soccer team was overmatched against Big Ten Conference-host Northwestern on Friday night in a 3-0 loss at Lakeside Field.



Sophomore goalkeeper Jessica Boyer (Pittsburgh, Pa/Mount Lebanon) (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Mount Lebanon) faced a total of 14 shots, stopping one as only four made it on goal. Sophomores Rachael Seibert (Murrysville, Pa/Franklin Regional) (Murrysville, Pa. / Franklin Regional) and Katie Dougherty (Downington, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) (Downington, Pa. / Bishop Shanahan) registered the only two shots for the Red Flash.



SFU dropped to 3-4 on the season, and will try to get back on track with a 1 p.m. contest at Northern Illinois on Sunday.



Jenny Dunn, Shannon Schneeman and Kelsey Hans each scored goals for the Wildcats.
