LORETTO, Pa. (Sept. 22, 2010) – The Saint Francis University men's soccer team's non-conference in-state battle with Bucknell University was postponed after 24 minutes of play on Wednesday afternoon.
The teams battled until 21:41 remained in the first half when lightning caused a delay. While waiting out the delay, impending darkness forced the coaches and officials to call the game.
Both coaching staffs will look for a potential make-up date before the end of the season. If the game is made up, the teams will play a full regulation match, including overtime if needed. The Red Flash and Bison were meeting for the 13
th time in the series.
Saint Francis will continue its three-game homestand with a 2 p.m. Saturday match against Howard University.
