LOUNDONVILLE, N.Y. (Jan. 28, 2012)
– The Saint Francis University swimming team won its first 13 events and swam the final two as exhibitions as it cruised to, 175-78, win over Siena College on Saturday.

The Red Flash (4-4) broke several pool records in the process, starting with the meet's first event.

Katrina Wilhite (Sparks, Nev./Edward C. Reed), Elise Löfgren (Molnlycke, Sweden/Hulebacks), Libby Francis (Dundee, Scotland/Grove Academy) and Alicia Ford (Whitney Point, N.Y./Whitney Point) combined to swim a 4:00.96 in the 400 medley relay.  The impressive mark bested the previous facility-best by over two seconds.

Ford and Francis would each go on to win a meet-high three events. Ford took the 50 free with a 24.35 and took the 100 free with a 52.63.  Francis swept fly events, posting a 2:09.31 in the 200 and a 59.45 in the 100.

Löfgren also nailed down a first place finish in the 100 and 200 breaststroke, swimming a 1:07.64 and a pool-record 2:23.34, respectively, in the process.  Jessica Dunn (Bristow, Va./Seton School) also earned a pair of first-place finishes, taking the 100 backstroke with a time of 59.81 and then notching yet another facility mark in the 200 back with a 2:08.66.

Jennifer Demjanenko (New Albany, Ohio/Gahanna-Lincoln) struck gold in the 200 free with a swim of 1:58.57 and again in the 500 free with a 5:11.80.

Closing out Saint Francis' event winners was Megan Collins (Monroeville, Pa./Oakland Catholic) who, with a 17:38.34, took the 1650 free.

The Red Flash swim team returns to competition on Feb. 4 when it visits Penn State for a meet which also features Lehigh.
