SOMERSET, N.J. – Senior Elise Löfgren (Molnlycke, Sweden, Hulebacks) was named the Northeast Conference's Swimmer of the Week, announced by the NEC on Wednesday morning.
 
Löfgren was one of just two Northeast Conference representatives at the AT&T Winter National Championships held in Knoxville, Tenn. The event drew hundreds of athletes, collegiate and professional alike. Löfgren competed in the 100-yard breaststroke and the 200 IM time trials. Löfgren set a new bar in the NEC 100-yard breaststroke, finishing the race in 1:04.62, placing 44th. 
 
The Red Flash next competes Jan. 18 at home against Youngstown State.
