ALL-EIVA TEAMS
LORETTO, Pa. (April 19, 2013) –
Logan Patterson (Derry, Pa./Derry Area), of the Saint Francis University men's volleyball team, earned first team all-conference honors, the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) announced on Friday.
“Congratulations to Logan for making first-team All-EIVA, it is a well deserved first time honor for him,” SFU head coach
Mike Rumbaugh said. “I think we have such a well-balanced team this year that it kept us from having more of our guys make the all-conference teams.”
“I think it shows how much more competitive the league is getting each year when you have six of eight teams represented in the all-conference teams,” Rumbaugh continued.
Patterson has led the EIVA in total kills during his junior season, he has totaled 324 on the season with two games still remaining. The Derry, Pa. native also ranks second in the league in kills per set with 3.72.
Patterson leads the conference in total attacks by a staggering margin, he has posted 757 attacks in 2013. The outside hitter also ranks third on the team in digs with 113 on the season.
Saint Francis sits fifth in the EIVA standings with a 10-15 overall record, including a 5-7 record in conference play with its final regular season games this weekend against NJIT and Rutgers-Newark.
