LORETTO, Pa. – The Saint Francis swimming team welcomes Duquesne on Saturday for a meet between Pennsylvania teams.  The meet begins at 1 p.m. at Stokes Natatorium.  The Red Flash is 5-6 overall, including 1-3 in the NEC this season.  The Dukes are 5-3 overall, with a 4-1 mark in Atlantic 10 meets.
 
The Red Flash competed at the Magnus Cup, hosted by Cleveland State, on November 20-22.  Saint Francis finished ninth out of 10 teams with a team score of 168.  The Dukes placed second at the event, with Akron finishing first and Xavier in third. 
 
Senior Catherine Rogers (Nokesville, Va./Seton School) had two Top 10 finishes at the Magnus Cup.  McLean placed 10th in the 50-yard Breaststroke with a time of 30.27.  She also finished sixth in the 100-yard Breaststroke, with a pace of 1:05.24, the fourth-best time in the NEC this year.  Rogers also had the Red Flash's top time in the 100-yard Butterfly, with a time of 59.14.
 
Sophomore Emma Karell (Norrtälje, Sweden/Täby Swim Club) had the top Saint Francis time in three events, including the 200-yard IM (2:12.82), 400-yard IM (4:37.86) and 200-yard Butterfly (2:11.43). 
 
Fellow sophomore Katie Lafferty (Bremen, Ind./Bremen) recorded a season-best time of 5:05.51 in the 500-yard Freestyle. 
 
Karell, Lafferty, Rogers and Jessie Reilly (Pittsburgh, Pa. /Upper St. Clair) combined for a time of 3:35.60 to place 13th in the 400-yard Freestyle Relay.
