Brenda van Stralen has announced the addition of three more freshmen to finalize Saint Francis U's women's soccer roster for 2015. The final three members are comprised of incoming freshmen
Heather Thorp (Curwensville, Pa./Curwensville),
Morgan Vensel (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional), and transfer
Rachel Rivera (Abingdon, Md./Harford C.C.).

Thorp joins the Red Flash coming off of an impressive four-year career at Curewensville High School. Thorp was voted an all-star three times, including being selected the league's MVP during her senior campaign.
She served as the main playmaker for Curewensville, setting a school record for assists during her career. During her senior season she was also named the team's captain.
Thorp played her club ball for the T.C. Vipers alongside fellow classmate Kimberly Boyd (Windber, Pa./Forest Hills). Off the field, Heather was a member of the National Honors Society. | | van Stralen on Thorp:Â "Heather is a very crafty and athletic player who will increase our team speed." | | |

Vensel comes to Loretto after a standout career at Norwin High School and with North Union United and Arsenal. Her Arsenal team won the Nike Challenge Cup and Baltmore Mania. With North Union United, Vensel helped the club to wins at the Bloomsburg UK Elite Showcase, PA Classics Winter Showcase and the Lititz Showcase. Â A four-year varsity starter for Franklin Regional, Vensel was a captain during her senior season. Rivera rounds out the incoming class for 2015 coming off of one year at Harford Community College. Rivera helped lead the team to an appearance in the national tournament and a final national ranking of sixth place.
When she competed in high school club, Rivera was an integral part of the team as well, winning the Jefferson Cup and being named her team's MVP. | | van Stralen on Rivera:Â "Rachel is a versatile player who can play wide or center.
