LORETTO, Pa. – The Saint Francis swimming team hosts Lock Haven on Saturday for a 1 p.m. meet at the Stokes Natatorium.Â

The Red Flash is 7-3 in dual meets this season and returns to action after competing in the Magnus Cup, hosted by Cleveland State, on November 18-20. SFU placed ninth out of 14 teams at the invitational.

Junior
Katie Lafferty (Bremen, Ind./Bremen) placed in the Top 10 in two events during the cup. She earned a seventh-place finish in the 50-yard Backstroke, with a time of 27.07, and ninth in the 50-yard Freestyle, with a pace of 23.98.

Saint Francis earned three of the top seven places in the 50-yard Butterfly. Freshman
Sabrina Bowman (Vandergrift, Pa./Saint Joseph's) recorded a time of 25.80 to finish fifth. Junior
Natalie Tedjasukmana (Anaheim, Calif./Mater Dei) finished sixth, with a time of 25.98, while senior
Paige McLean (Bolton, Ontario/St. Michael Catholic Secondary) touched the wall in 26.03 to place seventh.

Karilyn Quon (Tempe, Ariz./Corona del Sol) recorded a time of 4:34.56 in the 400-yard IM, which is the 10th-best in program history. Fellow rookie
Aimee Baur (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) posted the 10th-best time in SFU history in the 100-yard Butterfly, with a pace of 58.96.

McLean, Baur, Lafferty and Quon combined for a time of 1:37.60 in the 200-yard Freestyle Relay, also the 10th-best time in program history, to place 14th in that event.

Quon has enjoyed an impressive freshman campaign, posting Top 10 NEC times in five events this season. She currently has the second-best time in the 1,000-yard Freestyle (10:38.86), sixth-best times in the 200-yard Backstroke (2:07.67) and 400-yard IM (4:34.56), and the seventh-best times in the 500-yard Freestyle (5:08.49), and 200-yard IM (2:10.10).

Emma Karell (Norrtälje, Sweden/Täby Swim Club) owns Top 10 NEC times in four different events. She holds the conference's sixth-best time in the 200-yard Butterfly (2:10.50), seventh-best in the 1000-yard Freestyle (10:47.17) and the ninth-best in the 200-yard Breaststroke (2:26.90). She is tied with McLean for the league's ninth-best time in the 400-yard IM (4:39.24).

Bowman and Lafferty each hold a pair of Top 10 NEC times. Bowman has the ninth-best times in the 100-yard Butterfly (57.76) and 200-yard IM (2:10.35), while Lafferty has the sixth-best pace in the 50-yard Freestyle (23.86) and eighth-best in the 200-yard Freestyle (1:55.08). Baur has the conference's eighth-best time in the 100-yard Backstroke (58.96).

ABOUT THE BALD EAGLES
Lock Haven is 1-2 in dual meets this season, with a 158-43 win over Wilkes, and losses against East Stroudsburg (126-78) and Millersville (121-84). The Bald Eagles placed seventh at the Colgate Fall Classic and sixth at the Diamond City Invite.

Sophomore Raechel Rodriguez owns LHU's top times in the 100-yard Breaststroke (1:10.28), 200-yard Breaststroke (2:36.10), 100-yard IM (1:06.32) and 200-yard IM (2:16.84).
