PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Saint Francis swimming team dropped a 147-107 decision at Duquesne on Saturday at Towers Pool. Saint Francis earned six first place finishes, with sophomore
Katie Lafferty (Bremen, Ind./Bremen) part of four of those wins. The Red Flash fell to 8-5 in dual meets, while Duquesne improved to 6-1.

Karilyn Quon (Tempe, Ariz./Corona del Sol) combined for a time of 1:48.73.
In the 1000-yard Freestyle, McLean was Saint Francis' top finisher, with a time of 11:11.37 to place fourth. Freshman
Meaghan Saettel (Miamisburg, Ohio/Miamisburg) finished in fifth, with a pace of 11:16.54.
Junior
Emma Karell (Norrtälje, Sweden/Täby Swim Club) touched the wall in 2:00.79 in the 200-yard Freestyle to place fourth, while freshman
Aimee Baur (North Wales, Pa./North Penn) placed fifth, with a time of 2:04.24.
In the 100-yard Backstroke, Quon had SFU's top time, touching the wall in 59.92. junior
Natalie Tedjasukmana (Anaheim, Calif./Mater Dei) was right behind in fifth, with a time of 1:01.82.
Sophomore
Jessica Crumm (New Hampton, N.Y./Minisink Valley) earned a second-place finish in the 100-yard Breaststroke, with a time of 1:08.99. Fellow sophomore
Marisa Daly (Wallingford, Conn./Mark T. Sheehan) placed fifth, with a pace of 1:14.90.
In the 200-yard Butterfly, SFU's top finisher was sophomore
Rory O'Dell (Chapel Hill, N.C./Northwood), who recorded a time of 2:14.64. Freshman
Laura Patrick (Lake Charles, La./St. Louis Catholic) finished fifth, with a time of 2:21.20.
Lafferty picked up her first individual win of the day in the 50-yard Freestyle, posting a time of 24.28. O'Neill came in fifth in that event, with a pace of 25.83.
The sophomore followed that with another win, this time in the 100-yard Freestyle, where she touched the wall in 53.39. McLean placed fifth in the 100-yard Freestyle, with a time of 56.38.
In the 200-yard Backstroke, Quon was Saint Francis' top finisher, with a time of 2:08.51 to place third. In fifth was O'Dell, with a pace of 2:17.68.
Patrick had the Red Flash's top time in the 200-yard Breaststroke, finishing in 2:32.99 to place fourth. Toth came in fifth, with a time of 2:35.86.
In the 500-yard Freestyle, Karell finished fourth, with a time of 5:21.62, while Baur was fifth, with a pace of 5:29.05.
Saint Francis swept the top three spots in the 100-yard Butterfly, led by Tedjasukmana, who touched the wall in 1:00.74. O'Dell placed second, with a time of 1:03.39, while McLean came in third, with a pace of 1:06.85.
O'Neill recorded a time of 2:17.21 to lead an SFU sweep of the top three places in the 200-yard IM. Patrick touched the wall in 2:18.50 to place second and Daly finished third, with a time of 2:28.96.
The Red Flash then placed three relay teams in the top three of the 200-yard Freestyle Relay.
Tedjasukmana, Baur, Quon and Lafferty combined for a time of 1:38.85 to lead the field. The team of Toth, O'Neill, sophomore
Amanda Crnic (Conway, Ark./Conway) and Karell placed second, with a time of 1:44.44.

Saint Francis returns to the pool next Saturday, January 21 against Siena at the Stokes Natatorium. The Red Flash will celebrate Senior Day during its home finale, which starts at 1 p.m., as it honors senior
