LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis Women's Tennis resumes Fall tournament play this weekend at the USTA/ITA Northeast Regional. The tournament, which begins on Wednesday, is hosted by Penn.

Rob Castille, is back in action after a month off following the Western & Southern Collegiate Invite.
Sophomore
Laura Gutierrez (Bogota, Colombia/Cibercolegio UCN) is set to compete in the Singles Main Draw. She has a 3-2 record this Fall. She reached the final of her singles draw at the Bucknell Fall Invite, with wins over Loyola (Md.)'s Amanda Lanciano (6-1, 6-4), Lafayette's Cecilia Lesnick (6-4, 6-3) and Bucknell's Lisa Jouravieva (6-1, 7-6). Gutierrez was an NEC All-Rookie Team selection in 2017.
In her opening match, Gutierrez will take on Sacred Heart's Brianne Lauria. The winner of that match will advance to face Dartmouth's Kristina Mathis.
Gutierrez will team up with freshman
Nastasia Tamarkin (Washington, D.C./School Without Walls) in the Doubles Main Draw. The duo is 2-1 in tournament play, with all of its matches being played at the Western & Southern Collegiate Invite. They topped Belmont's Sarah Beth Crowe and Suzanna Stapler (6-3) and Dayton's Anna Delaney and Kelly Pleiman (7-6) to reach the draw semifinals.
The duo will face Colgate's Lauren Hyland and Jordan Williams in their first round match.
