Loretto, Pa. - Saint Francis won six events on the day. The Red Flash started off strong with a win in the 200 Medley Relay. The quartet of Katie Lafferty (Bremen, Ind./Bremen), Erin O'Neill (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn), Jessica Rupp (Cincinnati, Ohio/Turpin), and Katelyn O'Connor (Torrance, Calif./South High) touched the wall in first with a time of 1:48.14.  Saint Francis also placed third in this event. The team of Urska Medvesek (Maribor, Slovenia/Gymnasium Maribor), Mackenzie Lawson (Charlottesville, Va./The Covenant School), Emma Karell (Norrtälje, Sweden/Täby Swim Club), and Alicia Tiberino (Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill) combined for a time of 1:50.71.

Karilyn Quon (Tempe, Ariz./Corona del Sol) continued the moment from the 200 Medley, winning the first individual event of the day. Quon won the 1000 Freestyle in a time of 10:42.24. This time was two seconds faster than second place. Jacquelyn Rocque (Raleigh, N.C./Cardinal Gibbons) placed fourth in this event. Rocque touched in a time of 10:59.35.

Lafferty was the highest Red Flash finisher in the 200 Freestyle. She touched the wall in a time of 1:58.12, good for third place. Kristen Toth (Silver Spring, Md./St. Vincent Pallotti) placed fifth in the same event, touching in a time of 2:01.88.

Urska Medvesek (Maribor, Slovenia/Gymnasium Maribor) and Marisa Daly (Wallingford, Conn./Mark T. Sheehan) placed fourth and fifth in the 100 Backstroke, respectively. Medvesek swam a pace of 1:01.13. Daly touched the wall in a time of 1:01.34.

O'Neill won the 100 Breaststroke in a time 1:07.01. Lawson finished fourth and Olivia Fravel (Selinsgrove, Pa./Selinsgrove Area) finished fifth. Lawson touched the wall in a time of 1:08.70. Fravel swam a pace of 1:09.79.

Emma Karell (Norrtälje, Sweden/Täby Swim Club) swam a tight race in the 200 Butterfly. When it came to the touch, Karell finished second in a time of 2:11.03. Rupp also had a great race and touched the wall in fourth place, in a pace of  2:13.66.

Lafferty and O'Connor placed first and third in the 50 Freestyle, respectively. Lafferty touched the wall in a time of 24.19, a season best for her. O'Connor touched the wall in a time of 25.19.

O'Connor had another great swim in the 100 Freestyle. She touched the wall in a time of 54.68, good for third place. Quon had another tough race, touching the wall in a time of 54.32. This time was good for second place.

Rupp stole the show in the 200 Backstroke, swimming to the ninth best time in the school history. Rupp touched the wall in a time of 2:09.38, good for fourth place. Daly finished behind Rupp touching the wall in a time of 2:14.69, this time was good for fifth place.

Karell, O'Neill, and Lawson all placed in the top-five for the Flash in the 200 Breaststroke. With her second tight race of the day, Karell placed second with a time of 2:27.05. O'Neill touched in fourth place with a time of 2:30.78. Lawson wrapped up the top-five, swimming a pace of 2:32.86.

Quon won her second individual event of the day. She won the 500 Freestyle in a time of 5:13.33. Rocque took the fifth spot, touching the wall in a time of 5:27.86. In the 100 Butterfly, Alicia Tiberino (Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill) took the third spot, touching in a time of 1:00.75. Rupp wrapped up the top-five swimmers, swimming a pace of 1:01.34.

In the last individual event, the 200 Individual Medley, the Red Flash placed second and fifth. Emma Karell (Norrtälje, Sweden/Täby Swim Club) came to the wall in a time of 2:11.66 for third place. Daly took the fifth place spot with a  time of 2:15.81.

The Red Flash took first and third in the last race of the day the 400 Freestyle Relay. The team of Quon, O'Connor, Tiberino, and Lafferty touched the wall in a time of 3:36.40. Touching in third was the team of O'Neill, Fravel, Emily Graziano (Jeannette, Pa./Penn Trafford), and Kristen Toth (Silver Spring, Md./St. Vincent Pallotti). They had a combined time of 3:45.65.

The Red Flash are on the road next weekend when they travel to LIU Brooklyn.
