Saint Francis upended by Bryant, 16-6

BOX SCORE Loretto, Pa. - The first-place Bryant Bulldogs used a strong first half to upend the Saint Francis lacrosse team 16-6 on Friday afternoon. The Red Flash received two goals apiece from freshman Lauren Ryan (Towson, Md. /Notre Dame Prep) and senior Holly Lawrence (Damascus, Md./Damascus) in the loss.

Concheck's Reaction

"Bryant is a great team," said head coach Kara Concheck. "They are extremely athletic and make it difficult on their opponents. We outscored them in the second half and showed that we can play with the best when we play our game, but it wasn't enough today. We need to come out hot on Sunday."

Turning Point

Ryan got Saint Francis on the board with a tally at the 24:01 mark of the first half but that was the only offense Saint Francis could muster over the first 30 minutes as the Bulldogs ended the half on a 10-0 run to lead 13-1 at the intermission. Saint Francis outscored Bryant 5-3 in the second half.
