Fischetti struck just 28 seconds into the second half to pull Saint Francis within two before Central Connecticut State rattled off a 4-0 run to go ahead 15-9. Junior
Jessica Mazzur (Dallastown, Pa./York Catholic)'s goal with 7:13 remaining cut the Saint Francis deficit to 17-13 but the Red Flash were held scoreless the rest of the way.
Inside the Numbers
- Shots finished 43-29 in favor of the Blue Devils and shots on goal were 34-23.
- CCSU edged Saint Francis 32-31 in ground balls and 18-14 in draw controls.
- Saint Francis goalies Heather McKee (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright Bel Air) and Ashley Stoessel (Smithtown, N.Y./Smithtown East) combined to make 16 saves, 12 from McKee and four from Stoessel. Central Connecticut State goalie Jackie Branthover made 10 stops.
- The Blue Devils converted 13-15 clear attempts while SFU successfully completed 9-11.

- Senior Blair Rosenberg (Manorville, N.Y./Eastport South Manor), Rowan and Mazzur finished with a goal and two assists while freshman Sydney Davis (Harwood, Md./Southern) had two goals and an assist as they all joined Mahon and Fischetti with three point games.
- Senior Victoria O'Brien (Saint James, N.Y./Smithtown East) played inspired in her last home game with five ground balls. Mahon, McKee and Fischetti chipped in with three.
- Lawrence and Mahon led the charge with three caused turnovers as the Red Flash forced the Blue Devils into 20 turnovers.
- Davis recorded a team-high six draw controls.
- McKee, O'Brien, Rosenberg, Sydney Shearer (Morgantown, W. Va./Morgantown), Anai Flanagan (Rochester, N.Y./Hilton), Grace Smith (Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy Orange) and Holly Lawrence (Damascus, Md./Damascus) were all honored before the game. The group is the second winningest class in program history.
