LeConte, Scott, and McHenry earn NEC Honors

Loretto, Pa. – The Saint Francis lacrosse team put two players on the NEC All-Conference Second Team as junior Peyton LeConte (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron) and sophomore Emileigh Scott (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) were two of the 12 NEC Second Team honorees as announced by the conference on Wednesday. Freshman Autumn McHenry (Branford, Conn./Branford) was selected to the NEC All-Rookie team, the second SFU player to earn this recognition in as many years.

"We are very proud of our three all-conference award winners," said head coach Kara Concheck. "Peyton, Emileigh, and Autumn consistently displayed their dominance this season. They have continued to grow and stepped up considerably in conference play."

LeConte anchored the Red Flash defense, leading the team in caused turnovers for the second consecutive season with 21. She ranked in the top-50 in DI in caused turnovers per game with an average of 1.62 per contest. The junior had four games with three or more caused turnovers and caused a season-high five at East Carolina. This marks the second time she was selected as a member of the NEC all-conference team.

Scott led Saint Francis in scoring with 47 points on 44 goals and three assists. She finished the season ranked fifth in the NEC in goals per game (2.93). Her 96 draw controls led the team and ranked second-most all-time in single season history behind the record she set last season. In two seasons, she has won 229 draw controls, making her the program leader in career draw controls. On average, Scott wins 6.93 draw controls per game, good enough for second in the NEC and nineteenth in DI. The current NEC Player of the Week closed out the season scoring 12 goals and winning 14 draw controls over the team's final two games.

McHenry finished the season with 22 points on 11 goals and 11 assists. She had two games with multiple assists to go along with her two career multi-goal games. She notched a career-high three points on a goal and two assists in the 14-13 win at Sacred Heart and finished her freshman campaign riding a four-game point streak.
